Founder & CEO
AKLOS Health
Patrick Pakan is the Founder and CEO of AKLOS Health, a digital musculoskeletal recovery platform. Patrick graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Upon graduating, he worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs for two years before transitioning to Goldman’s commercial real estate investing platform as a Vice President.
Having played college football and sports all his life, Patrick required 20+ physical therapy programs over the last two decades. His injuries resulted in six orthopedic surgeries and it was Patrick’s own frustrations with the lack of a truly evidence-based digital exercise therapy option that led to the idea for AKLOS Health. He left Goldman Sachs in 2020 to focus full-time on launching the best-in-class solution for digital exercise therapy. As a patient himself 20 times over, Patrick focused on creating a seamless member experience first, then finding the right technology to fit the platform.
This session will examine MSK, the existing models, and solutions in the market and show you what’s working and what’s not. Discover how the incentives are misaligned and how many MSK solutions focus not on creating savings for employers but profits for the MSK provider, focused more on driving shareholder value and returns then the health of your employees.
