Justin Cruger serves as the Senior Benefits Specialist for VIA Metropolitan Transit in San Antonio, Texas. He oversees all aspects of employee benefits and wellness program administration, analytics, and vendor management for over 2200 employees and 3500 plan members. Justin offers more than 8 years of experience in the health and wellness industry and has collected multiple certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Sports Sciences Association. He holds a Master of Science with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Justin has evolved VIA’s wellness program from a simple approach to employee health, into a multi-faceted program including many creative and novel concepts. These initiatives have garnered much recognition ranging from a benefits success story in the national publication Employee Benefits News to Healthiest Employer San Antonio. As a member of the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Business Group on Health and an active affiliate with multiple community advocacy groups, Justin collaborates to share and collect knowledge that will impact the lives of employees, retirees, and their families.
