Edwin McCarthy is Vice President, International Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center, a comprehensive cancer center. He holds a Master of Science degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University, and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Florida.
Ed has dedicated his career to building international collaborations in healthcare by addressing business, financial, geographic, and cross cultural challenges. Prior to joining City of Hope, Ed was Vice President, International Business Development at
to provide business consulting services to health care organizations in the U.S. and Middle East.
Ed is currently focused on building City of Hope’s international profile with a focus in China. Overseeing the Center for International Medicine, Ed is responsible for services to international patients, and developing academic and business partnerships. These range from advisory and training relationships to ventures that speed scientific discovery and commercialize innovative cancer technologies.
