Dr. Juan Luis Giraldo

Dr. Giraldo is a Medical Doctor graduated from the Pontifical Bolivarian University in 1994. Due to his proficiency in English as a second language, he completed his internship at the University of San Antonio, Texas, in the United States. Since 1995, he has focused on the field of female health, obtaining his degree as a gynecologist and obstetrician at the same university in 1999.

From the onset of his higher studies, his primary area of interest has been human reproduction. To delve deeper into this field, he traveled to Yale University in the United States, where he pursued a post doctoral fellowship in infertility and gynecological endoscopy.

In the year 1999, he became a part of the medical group at Inser, playing a crucial role in developing clinical programs for assisted reproduction therapies and implementing endoscopic surgery techniques in the area of infertility. Dr. Giraldo has also served on the Board of Directors of the Colombian Society of Fertility and Sterility.

Currently, he holds the position of professor in the subspecialty of Reproductive Medicine and the postgraduate course in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Antioquia, the University CES of Medellín, and the Pontifical Bolivarian University. He has been a speaker at numerous congresses in his field.

Dr. Giraldo has published papers in significant international journals specializing in human reproduction, endoscopic surgery, and gynecology. He is the author of the book-guide "Buscando un bebé," published by Editorial Norma, aimed at couples facing a diagnosis of infertility, now in its third edition.

His contributions to the field of reproduction earned him recognition as the Junior Executive of the year in Colombia in the area of science and technology in 2005. He also received the award for Exemplary Colombian in the area of science and technology, along with recognition from the Congress of the Republic of Colombia and the City Council of Medellin. Notably, he holds the designation of distinguished graduate from the Pontifical Bolivarian University.
