Founder & CEO – Edington Associates
Dee Edington is a Professor Emeritus in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan and Founder and Director Emeritus of the Health Management Research Center. In addition to his research and teaching he spent 25 years in academic administration. He has initiated a spin-off company Edington Associates in 2011. Edington Associates was formed to bring Health to the same level at the workplace and workforce as is safety and quality.
Trained in mathematics, kinesiology and biochemistry, Dr. Edington received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Michigan State University and completed his M.S. at Florida State University. He did post-doctoral work at the University of Toronto and taught at the University of Massachusetts before coming to Michigan in 1976.
His interests are in the relationships between a supportive workplace and workforce, a high performing workplace and workforce, and quality of life and sustainability as they benefit both individuals and organizations.
