which seeks to make San Diego a Heart Attack and Stroke Free Zone. For the past seven years, he also has taken on the role of a being patient with a serious chronic illness. That illness, and all that goes with it, have posed unexpected challenges and opportunities for him in the workplace, and life more generally. He is happily married and the proud parent of 19 and 14-year-old sons, and a 6-year-old Labradoodle.
