After 27 years as the Director of Human Resources for ICON Health & Fitness, Inc., Doug Younker retired to teach his innovative medical solutions to other organization.

Doug started adding out-of-the-box solutions such as: Complementary Medicine, PRP, Stem Cell therapy, Prolozone therapy, PGx, and Coba Health, into ICON’s traditional medical plan. These options have reduced plan expenses, while improving the quality of life for employees. Regence Blue Cross, Humana and Tall Tree Administrators have all stated that ICON has some of the lowest Medical and Rx costs of the plans they manage. Doug has presented on ICON’s unique ideas in: Los Angeles, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta and Stanford’s Medicine X. He has also presented at the AMCP and PBMI national conference on ICON’s Opioid pain management program.

Douglas served on the Utah SHRM Crossroads committee, Utah Council for Worksite Health Promotion, and the Utah State Health and Wellness Advisory Committee. He also served on Steering Committees at Oregon State University and Utah State University. When Doug has nothing else to do you will find him spending time with his family, or mountain biking and backcountry skiing.
