Benefits Strategy Manager - American Airlines
Tom Vertich is a Benefits Strategy Manager with American Airlines. He, along with his team, develops, recommends and implements plan strategy changes for American Airlines’ health plans, which covers approximately a quarter of a million members. Tom’s has worked as both a national accounts benefits consultant and as an HR benefits professional for three Fortune 500 firms.
Over the years, Tom has been involved in and supported various organizations whose objectives are to improve health care in the U.S. He served on the National Association of Health Underwriters’ Health Care Reform Committee during the initial implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and was the president of one of its local Florida chapters. He also served as a local chapter president for the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.
Tom is a recipient of the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation, and is a graduate of Florida State University with BS degrees in both Finance and Economics.
